The Chamber of Commerce at Belmont-Central is a merchant's association comprised of approximately 100 members.

Although the Chamber of Commerce has been in existence for quite some time, it was officially incorporated with the State of Illinois in 1969.

Comprised of seven dedicated Officers, five advisory board members, and one staff person, the Chamber is committed to maintaining a strong and viable commercial district at Belmont-Central. Currently, Belmont Central has one of the lowest vacancy rates of all the neighborhood shopping districts.

The Chamber holds monthly meetings for members and non-members alike that are free and open to all on the second Tuesday of every month. A monthly newsletter or pertinent information is published.

The Chamber sponsors numerous activities each year, some of which include:

• Easter Ham Raffle

• A visit from the Easter Bunny

• Annual Sidewalk Sale

• Craft Fair

• Business Expo

• Trick-or-Treat bag Give-Away

• A visit from Edgar Allen Ghost

• Thanksgiving Turkey Raffle

• A visit from Sam the Snowman
